The Cornwell Family

Family History

1st Generation

Cornwell Farms was established in 1917 by Courtney and Naomi. Courtney raised horned Hereford cattle and farmed. Their only son, Jack, returned to the farm after graduating college to farm and raise cattle with his dad for 23 years.

 2nd Generation

Jack married June and they had three children, Rick, Martha, and Joe.
Both Rick and Joe came back to farm/ranch with their Dad. For 23 years these three raised polled Hereford, Simmental, and in the 90’s started raising black angus cattle. Both boys married after returning to the farm.

3rd Generation

After Jack’s death, Rick and Joe farmed/ranched together. Rick and Gayle had three children, Jeff, Casey, and Bethany. Joe and Lisa had four children, Melissa, Cami Jo, Ty, and Marci. Martha had two children Rob and Mark Riddell. Rick passed away in 2021.

4th Generation

Currently Joe and Ty farm, raise registered black angus and the commercial herd.
Rick’s daughter, Bethany also raises registered black angus.
Joe, Ty, and Bethany have a joint sale the first Tuesday of March each year for the registered herd.
